The TiE VC Forum is a place for high quality start-up companies to seek funding and feedback from seasoned venture capitalists. At the TiE VC Forum, an audience of partners or senior principals screens the deals for their VC firms.
TiE is actively sourcing life sciences and technology companies seeking a first or second round of venture capital funding, to present to invited venture capitalists on Thursday, June 14th, 2007.
Deadline for submitting executive summaries is May 23, 2007
• Companies should be seeking Series A or Series B financing (ideally $2-5M+)
• Companies with no revenues should have breakthrough technologies in large growing markets (>$1B) and good customer traction
• Funding consideration open to all companies – TiE and non-TiE members
• Companies should be located in the northeast: New England, NY, NJ, PA, Eastern Canada
• A group of VCs screen all opportunities – selected companies invited to present
• As VCs screen the opportunities, we seek partner level participation in company presentations
• Only the presenting company and the VCs are in each session
• Each company has 15 minutes to present with a follow-on private 5 minute discussion among the VCs, to determine the level of interest and to provide feedback
• Each company is provided feedback and put in touch with the interested VCs for follow-up and due diligence
